About The Lid Drawer
What The Lid Drawer is, how it plays, who makes it, and how to get in touch.
The Lid Drawer is a free puzzle game about the most chaotic spot in any kitchen: the drawer full of plastic tubs and lids that never seem to fit each other. You open a drawer or cabinet, a pile of containers tumbles out, and you match every lid to its tub before the kitchen timer runs out. It plays in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install.
How it plays
Drag a lid onto its tub to seal it. A lid fits only when the shape, size, brand and colour all match, and the look-alikes are where the fun is. Not everything has a partner: orphan lids and stray keys go in the Mystery Bin, warped lids and junk go in the Trash, and a tub with no lid gets clingfilm. Matches add time to the clock, mistakes take it away, and a clean, quick finish earns three stars.
The levels never run out. Every 20 levels you move somewhere new, from Grandma's House and the office kitchen to a cruise ship galley and a space station, and most places bring their own twist: power cuts, shaky shelves, zero gravity or sticky lids. Saving orphan lids and keys unlocks bonus rounds, and those earn Lid Finder hints for the hardest drawers. The guides explain all of it, starting with how to play.
Who makes it
The Lid Drawer is made by Always Blue Software LLC, a small independent studio in Georgia, USA. We make casual games that are quick to pick up and easy to come back to.
Free, with a few ads
The game is free to play from start to finish. It is supported by a small number of ads: an occasional ad between levels after milestone levels, and an optional short video you can choose to watch for an extra hint. There are no ads in the middle of a level and nothing to buy.
